Paloma - Tequila bar

Branding Identity & Illustration

Paloma Tequila Bar draws inspiration from the natural beauty of Barbados and the lively spirit of Mexico. Located on a patio and raised deck, the all-outdoor cocktail bar aims to create a fun and refreshing atmosphere, offering a premium night-out experience for those who want to enjoy Barbados.

The name "Paloma" was chosen for its dual meaning - representing the classic tequila cocktail and evoking feelings of warmth and personal connection, like a woman's name. Paloma Tequila Bar was established to bring the rich tequila culture to Barbados, recognizing the limited options for tequila and Mexican vibes on the island. They aim to provide a unique tequila and taco experience for both residents and tourists.

The ideal audience spans a broad demographic, including locals and tourists aged from late 20s to 40s, both men and women. They cater to those who seek a memorable, vibey experience with an emphasis on aesthetics and high-quality cocktails. Paloma aims to be a go-to spot for anyone who values a visually appealing atmosphere and appreciates the nuances of tequila. Paloma Tequila Bar is unique on the island because it offers something totally different.

Design Solution

The visual identity combines minimalistic, feminine, and luxury elements to create a clean and sophisticated look with playful and colorful accents. We focus on sunset and Paloma (grapefruit) hues, including pink, pinkish-orange, and accents of orange, yellow, and brighter pink.

The brand uses a handwritten font for the logo, which adds a personal and unique touch. It is paired with simple, clean, and elegant sans-serif fonts that maintain a sense of uniqueness and premium experience.

The brand elements represent the bar experience itself, including olives, oranges, mint, margarita cocktails, and tequila, all the perfect ingredients for this bar. The Mexican woman was inspired by the Dias de los Muertos sugar skull body painting, which is the most important element of the brand and symbolizes the Mexican reach culture.

*The logo was created by another designer and they only had that when we started the project.
