The Mac Kitchen
Bold, Clean Logo Redesign and Packaging Design
The Mac Kitchen is a delivery-first food brand created to bring comfort, fun, and indulgence into people’s daily lives. Rooted in the belief that food should spark both joy and connection, The Mac Kitchen celebrates the world’s favorite comfort dish — Mac & Cheese — by reinventing it with bold variations, premium ingredients, and packaging designed for the modern sharing culture.
By focusing solely on Mac & Cheese, The Mac Kitchen transforms a homestyle classic into an experience that is Instagrammable, memorable, and made for today’s delivery culture. With bold flavors and playful presentation, it aims to be the go-to comfort food that feels indulgent yet accessible.

Design Solution
The Mac Kitchen already had an established concept, but its visual identity didn't reflect the quality or personality of the brand. The original logo relied on a standard typeface with very little customization, making it feel generic and dated. The rotated "Kitchen" reduced readability, the typography lacked a clear hierarchy and system for future applications, and the packaging graphics felt generic rather than unique to the brand. Since The Mac Kitchen is a delivery-first business competing for attention on food delivery platforms and social media, the identity needed to be much more recognizable and memorable.
Rather than starting from scratch, I focused on refining the existing concept while preserving its playful character. The logo was rebuilt with custom letterforms to improve balance, readability, and consistency. The most distinctive element became the customized C, shaped like a piece of macaroni to create an immediate connection to the product. The remaining letters were carefully adjusted to improve spacing, proportions, and rhythm, creating a logo that feels cleaner, more professional, and easier to recognize at every size. A standalone symbol based on the macaroni shaped C was also developed for social media, packaging details, and other small applications.
The packaging was redesigned with the same philosophy. Instead of relying on generic stock style patterns, I created a custom illustration system built around mac and cheese illustration. Combined with the bold yellow, black, and white colour palette, the packaging becomes instantly recognizable while remaining simple enough to work across different formats. Large logo placement and consistent graphics ensure that every delivery box and Mac and Cheese.
I expanded the original colour palette while preserving the brand's signature yellow and black to maintain recognition for existing customers. The new supporting colours introduce more warmth and playfulness, giving the identity greater flexibility. The typography system was also completely redesigned. A bold, expressive primary typeface reinforces the fun personality of the brand, while a clean secondary typeface improves readability.
To support future growth, I also developed a complete visual system with logo variations, typography, colour guidelines, and packaging rules. This creates consistency across digital platforms, delivery packaging, promotional materials, and future brand extensions while giving The Mac Kitchen a much stronger and more distinctive identity.
